Some human growth hormone (HGH) supplements are marketed as anti-aging products. Others have been designed expressly for bodybuilding purposes. HGH Raw falls into the latter category.
HGH Raw is produced in the USA by Vigor Labs and although there is nothing to stop female bodybuilders from using HGH Raw the company likes to refer to itself as “the male health experts” so there is no escaping the fact it’s been designed with the male of the species in mind.
Vigor Labs has produced some very impressive YouTube videos—supposedly shot in a Hollywood studio—but most of the product marketing appears to be done via the company website, which is easy to navigate and looks impressive, but contains only limited information about any of their products.
In fact, site visitors who click the link for more information about the ingredients used in HGH Raw will find the page scrolls down to a picture of the label. We would definitely like to see detailed information on the ingredients instead of picture of a label.
What is HGH Raw and how does it Work?
HGH releasing formulations stimulate the pituitary gland and encourage it to secrete an increased amount of HGH—which has a proven ability to encourage muscle growth.
If the product can live up to its hype, HGH Raw is the hottest HGH product ‘out there’ and its use should provide several attractive benefits:
- Supports Increased HGH levels
- Supports muscle mass and strength
- Supports workout recovery
- Supports IGF-1 Levels
None of Vigor Labs’ claims are supported though; so hype takes precedence over information once again. Let’s take a look at the ingredients and see if the blend can hold up to scrutiny.
Each capsule provides 500mg of a proprietary blend. The Raw HGH Proprietary Blend contains:
- Cowhage Extract (Standardized to 15% L-Dopa) (Mucuna Pruriens) (Seed)
- Dodder Seed 20:1 (Cuscuta chinensis Lam.) (seed) (Rhodiola rosea) (root)
- Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) (leaf)
- Gentian extract 4:1 (root)
- Gaba (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid)
- Colostrum 30% IgG
The lack of individual inclusion rates makes it impossible to speculate on the blend’s potential, but some of the ingredients have merit.
Cowhage extract is a herbal adaptogen that provides L-Dopa—a direct precursor to the neurotransmitter, dopamine (an effective HGH releaser).
Dodder Seed has a long history of use in Asian herbal medicine. Often considered an aphrodisiac, it is also believed to retard the aging process, boost energy levels, and raise the male sperm count.
Green tea is high in antioxidants and is known to initiate thermogenic fat burning. Gentian promotes thyroid health but, apart from Cowhage, Gaba and Colostrum (milk taken from the mammary glands of mammals) are the only two ingredients that are known to encourage HGH secretion.
Customer Feedback & Testimonials
Customer feedback is limited. Plus, anyone that says they hardly work out but the product keeps them ripped is potentially biased for some reason!!!
Vigor Labs states HGH Raw is not intended for people under the age of 18.
Anyone who suffers from high blood pressure, diabetes, heart or thyroid disease, or has difficulties urinating due to an enlarged prostate, should consult a doctor before commencing supplementation.
The same advice is offered to pregnant and nursing mothers and anyone who is taking an MAO inhibitor or prescription medications. Usage should be reduced or discontinued if loss of appetite, sleeplessness, tremors, nervousness, or nausea is experienced.
Product Availability and Pricing
A tub of 30 HGH Raw capsules costs $39.99 when purchased directly from the manufacturer’s online store. It is also available from a few independent online retailers, but is not as readily available as some competing products.
There does not appear to be a money back guarantee.
The Bottom Line
HGH Raw contains a few ingredients that are known to boost HGH production, but if the quantities used are insufficient their abilities will be severely hindered and the blend may fail to work in the promised manner.
Due to the use of a proprietary blend, it is not possible to predict how well HGH Raw will perform.
When it is not possible to get an idea of a product’s potential from the ingredients used, customer feedback can often help fill in the blanks. In this case the amount of feedback available is too limited to be of assistance, so there is no way of knowing if HGH Raw can really deliver the goods.
It is unlikely to be the hottest product ‘out there’ or anywhere else though, and, should it fail to work in the promised way, customers do not have a guarantee to fall back upon.
It is possible that HGH Raw may provide some or all of the benefits promised, but many alternative products boast more powerful formulations, along with better levels of customer feedback, and will probably be a safer option for cautious buyers who prefer definite results to promised results.
